A survival horror boardgame with miniatures. No zombies here, just classical horror with all kind of evil creatures and a lot of fun.

Latest Updates from Our Project:

Christmas time.
over 7 years ago – Wed, Dec 21, 2016 at 08:33:43 PM

Christmas is coming and we're still waiting for our promised box, but maybe Santa Clause is generous and we manage to get it before this weekend. It would be a great and welcomed surprise.

Meanwhile, we've been creating some gameplay videos trying to find the best way to record a quality footage when the final components arrive. The plan is offer an unboxing video and some gameplay pieces to better explain the game mechanics.

Lets do a recap of all the components that you'll receive inside every Pandemonium game:

350 cards

And don't forget the 4 wooden hearts you unlocked.

15 character sheets + 2 Boss sheets + 1 Vehicle sheet

14 map tiles + 150 tokens + 50 pages rulebook + 36 pages Survival Diary

And, of course, our lovely miniatures.
And, of course, our lovely miniatures.

Remember that the Evil die and scenery miniatures (portals, barricades and traps) are add-ons that will not be included into the box. They will come in custom boxes and will be added to the packages of all backers who got them during the campaign.

We spend some time taking photos of the miniatures, while we wait for the next bunch of improved miniatures to arrive (fixed color and better mounting). They look good, but as only few of them are primed, remember that plastic highlights may make them look worse than they actually are. We've taken photos next to the new Zombicide BP miniatures, for comparison purposes, so you can better see the look of them all.
As you'll see, even the CMON standard miniatures look "plastic-like" under certain lighting conditions:

As you've seen, the quality is quite similar and while we can't compete with a game that made 4.5 million dollars, I think that with our 100K we couldn't have done any better. Also, the result is fairly similar to the original sculpts, which I believe is important to point, because if you compare with Blood rage, for example, their sculpts are much better than ours, which also helps to get those incredible miniatures.

I'm quite satisfied with the final look of the game, because I think that it respects the proposal that we made during the kickstarter campaign, which maybe had some peculiar and weird design decisions, but was part of the idea behind this project.

Next week I'll try to update on friday, because on weekend everybody will be focused on better and more exciting news. Yes, 2017 is coming and Pandemonium should follow soon, because my mental sanity won't resist much longer :)

Merry Christmas everybody!

December news #1
over 7 years ago – Sun, Dec 11, 2016 at 11:37:43 PM

Hello again. We’ve been busy working with the miniatures and supervising that everything else is advancing as planned. The manufacturer told us that this week the complete box with all component proofs will leave China. So we hope to receive it soon and show it to you.

We primed some miniatures to be able to take some better photos. This also helps to analyze the sculpts and better identify any possible errors. For example, some minis needed a better work in the assembly of the pieces to hide the cutlines. They have been working on that and now they look much better.

We also asked for a change in the main characters color. As some of you already prompted, that “chocolate” brown was not the best choice. These are the 3 color variations suggested and finally we’ll try to get that zombicide BP tone.

With the matte finish of the primed miniatures, plastic glossiness disappears and is much easier to see the details. I’ve borrowed a better camera and I need to take some photos in a properly illuminated room. I’ll do it tomorrow and use the photos to update our facebook and twitter accounts, which have been a bit abandoned lately.

Right now, we're painting 3 miniatures, including the final boss, and I wish I can show you the results really soon (and the possibilities).

We’ve repacked all add-ons and they are ready to ship to the manufacturer’s warehouse, where they will wait for the rest of the games to arrive. Several components have been protected inside padded envelopes for extra security.

Take a look to the included instructions inside the deck trays. You have a more complete manual inside each dice tray. All scenery packs come inside custom little boxes. So, you’ll receive everything perfectly packed and protected alongside the core game.

Easy assembly :D

Now, once the box is here, we’ll wait for the printed components proofs and then wait until we receive the confirmation that production is closed and everything is travelling home. But first things first, and I hope to be able to show you the core box + components in our next update.

See you soon!

Black (Pandemonium) Sunday.

We're ready to paint some of the miniatures. I promise to search for a better camera to take improved pictures of the different miniatures with proper lighting conditions. Next days I'll show you more content.

While the manufacturer is working on the printed components, we're starting to organize all the shipping information, so everythig is ready when the packages leave China early next year.

The manufacturer has told me that I'll receive the definitive box layout with all component proofs in the next two weeks. Then, I'll be able to show you the final game preview.
As Pandemonium miniatures are quite heavy, the box size and weight is bigger and heavier than expected. We expect a raise in the shipping costs, but don't worry, we'll cover them :___)

See you next sunday. And enjoy todays "cyber monday" :D

Pandemonium first anniversary!
over 7 years ago – Mon, Nov 21, 2016 at 12:00:07 AM

A long and exciting year has passed since we finished our first kickstarter campaign. As much as I’d love to have successfully delivered all games and be working on the next one, there’s some work to be done yet. But we’re very close to fulfill that dream.

And what a better present for our first anniversary than having received, at last, our much sought miniatures. It’s been harder than expected, but they are finally here and we’re happier than ever :D

What now? Well, tomorrow we’ll start to record 360 turnarounds of them all, taking some quality photos and paint a variety of them. So, expect a little bit more activity on facebook and twitter these next weeks, because both sites have been a bit quiet lately.

After the manufacturer returned from China this weekend, we need to visit him to review some component and printing proofs. I'll try to show you some photos to hear your feedback.

Meanwhile, more and more add-on boxes keep gathering at home, waiting to be transported to the manufacturer's warehouse.

Add-ons love.

Now that we have all the miniatures, I’ll be able to finish the artbook and send it to print. And then, that’s it, just wait for the game to finish printing and depart China.

See you next Sunday with more news.
Thank you for supporting this project.

Tiny update.
over 7 years ago – Sun, Nov 06, 2016 at 11:42:30 PM

Few news since Halloween.
This thurday 10th of November, our contact with the manufacturer here in EU is traveling to China to supervise all the printing process. He'll be there two weeks and will return with samples of the final box and printed components.

So, if everything works well, I'll be able to record an unboxing for you at the end of November.

We expect to receive the miniatures before he returns. They said everything was ready and they would send several packs home. I'm anxious to paint some of my favourite characters and creatures.

I want to show you screenshots of the Survival Diary. The printing proofs look great and I'm looking forward to seeing what new adventures you will be able to create when you finally receive the game.

Finally, I just want to remember that there are some backers that have not finished their Backerkit surveys. We've tried to contact them in a number fo different ways along these months, but we never received a response. As a final attempt to contact them, I'll list here only their names (trying to mantain their privacity). If you think that you may be in that list, please send us a mail.
Rememeber that we won't be able to send the game or any related add-ons if the PM is not properly closed or the shipping costs are not added.

I'm working on some new material for next sunday. See you then!
